Education and Professional Experience

I graduated from Aiea High School in 1974, laying the foundation for my future academic and professional pursuits. Following high school, I attended the University of Hawaii, where I earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance in 1979.

My career in the masonry industry began with Tileco Inc., where I dedicated forty-one years to the company. During my tenure, I served in various roles, including sales and sales manager, accumulating extensive experience and expertise in the field.

Commitment to the Masonry Industry

Throughout my forty-one years at Tileco Inc., I have developed a deep passion for masonry, built strong relationships, and gained valuable knowledge that has shaped my career. These experiences have inspired my decision to accept the position of Director for the Masonry Institute of Hawaii in February 2025, choosing to postpone my full retirement in order to continue serving the industry.

Leadership and Experience

My involvement with the Masonry Institute of Hawaii spans more than twenty years as a trustee, both intermittently and continuously. This long-term commitment has provided me with meaningful insight into the needs and opportunities within our masonry and concrete industry. I am confident that this perspective will be beneficial as we work together to strengthen the organization and advance our shared goals.

Looking Ahead

I am eager to continue moving the industry forward and deeply appreciate the support that I have received from colleagues—both in the past and in the future. Your collaboration and dedication are essential, and I look forward to building on our collective efforts to enhance the masonry and concrete sector in Hawaii.
