Mason Contractors Association of Hawaii (MCAH)

The MCAH is an association of Contractors, Suppliers, Financial Institutions, Vendors, and other Professionals that all have a vested interest in the Construction Industry of Hawaii. An important purpose is to develop and improve the standards of the masonry industry at the level necessitated by its professional character and to establish in the public’s mind that members of the Association are contractors and businesses who fulfill their obligations in good faith.

Masonry Institute of America (MIA)

The Masonry Institute of America was founded in 1957 under the name of Masonry Research. We are a promotion, technical and research organization established to improve and extend the use of masonry. The MIA is extremely active in the development and distribution of seminars and publications that enhance the use of masonry.

Mason Contractors Association of America (MCAA)

The MCAA is the national trade association representing mason contractors. The MCAA is committed to preserving and promoting the masonry industry by providing continuing education, advocating fair codes and standards, fostering a safe work environment, recruiting future manpower, and marketing the benefits of masonry materials.

The International Masonry Training and Education Foundation (IMTEF)

IMTEF provides training, certifications and continuing education programs to employees of employer’s signatory to collective bargaining agreements with the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers. These programs begin with pre-job training and training for apprentices and continue throughout a craftworker’s career in brick, stone, tile, marble, terrazzo, pointing-caulking-cleaning, refractory, plaster, cement and mosaic work. New cladding systems and installation technologies are also emerging, and IMTEF provides advanced training for these opportunities as well. IMTEF is funded through a grant from the International Masonry Institute, a labor-management organization created by the members of BAC and the contractors who employ them.

International Masonry Institute (IMI)

The IMI is a strategic alliance between the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers and the contractors who employ those members. Through education, technical support, research and training the IMI works to provide a more efficient construction delivery system.

Cement and Concrete Products Industry of Hawaii (CCPI)

The CCPI promotes cement, concrete and masonry products in Hawaii. It was established in 1965 and is dedicated to serving Hawaii’s engineering and construction industry.

Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA) Local #368

LIUNA represents members work in various industries such as construction, environmental remediation, maintenance, as well as in state, local and municipal government jobs. In building construction and housing, some of the Laborers’ work includes excavation, footing and foundations, compaction, concrete placement, general clean-up and mason tending for bricklayers.

International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers of Hawaii (IUBAC) Local #1

The IUBAC is the union for all masonry needs and offer work and training in Brick, Block, Tile, Marble, Cement, Plaster, Terrazzo, Mosaic, Refractory and PCC.
