This year, we are sending
notices earlier than we normally do, for we would like for you to consider
supporting MCAH 33rd Annual Golf Tournament to be held on June 18th
2010 at Pearl Country Club by submitting the attached early registration form
with your payment. We are very much
aware of our tenuous economic condition in Hawaii but feel that this worthwhile event
should be supported. By becoming a
sponsor you are supporting not only the masonry industry but the professional
design community, students planning for higher education after High School and
the University of
Hawaii (School of
Engineering & School of Architecture).
The Annual Architects Engineers
Golf Tournament sponsors four $1500 scholarships for children whose parent is a
member of the AIA Honolulu, SEAOH, the Laborers’ Union, and the Mason
Contractors Association. Other portion of
the proceeds is earmarked for the University of Hawaii’s scholarships,
and MIH’s promotional & technical programs.
In the last five years, we have
given out at total of $23,000 for scholarships. We have put on programs to
honor outstanding masonry projects for the architects, engineers and
contractors. Other programs have been
set up to facilitate fellowships between developers, architectural community and
the structural engineering group.
Your participation in this
tournament will be greatly appreciated.
Mahalo.
